Can I Really Sell My House By “Prettifying” It?

Selling your house is also like courting. In order to please the woman you want, you need to first improve your appearance and enhance the way you dress yourself up. But besides the good projection from the outside, you must also back it up with a better “inside” or good character.

If you want to sell your house, in order to please your prospective buyers, you need to make a complete refinement of your homes from the facade and front yard, up to the inside and also the rear lawn of your place.

So how do you “prettify” your house in order for it to sell like an in demand hot cakes?

1.Clear out the Clutter
My oh my, if your house has been your own personal nest for a number of years, it’s time to stash away the stuffed toys lying around. The scraps of paper and other clutter must go the waste basket. The kitchen must also be extra clean because it is one of the most important parts of the house.

Unleash the mildew exterminator and you and clean up the tiles of the kitchen and even the bathroom. Make your house as spacious as possible. Get all the unnecessary furniture and keep them in your storehouse. Remember, the cleaner your house, the more maintained it will look. That will leave a good impression on buyers.

2.Fix the Cabinets
If your cabinet door needs a bit of tweaking to do, repair it to minimize the risk of the door accidentally falling on and hitting the buyer when he or she is looking around. If your cabinet door is made of wooden material, you can always use some wood cleaner to make it shine.

3.Get rid of Your Personal Belongings
You sell your house, you cut all your attachment to it. Remove your family pictures on the wall. Make sure that the cabinet in your room is cleared out of those cheesy love letters you had way back in college.

Remember, the buyer is looking around every nook and cranny of your house. Now, your love life may be colorful and all, but you do not want to divulge it to some random person do you?

4.View your House from a Buyer’s Perspective
Start your observation from the road. How does your house look like from the outside? Is there anything out of place? Is the lawn tidied up? Enter your door and check up every room. Is there anything disturbing? Anything that needs repair? And do not forget your backyard. Is it as neat as your front lawn?

If you have scrutinized every corner and minute detail of your house, then you are ready to sell it to other people. A little effort in prepping your house up will certainly give you a smooth house- selling experience.
